Dr. Hankyu Chung began his medical journey at Seoul National University in Korea, where he completed both his pre-medical and medical training by 1969. After serving as a medical officer in the Korean Navy, he moved to the United States in 1973 to continue his medical career.

He completed internships in both Korea and Connecticut, then went on to train in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Internal Medicine. He became board certified in Internal Medicine in 1978 and later in Critical Care Medicine, practicing with deep dedication and care for his patients.

For over four decades, Dr. Chung has served the community through his private practice and longstanding affiliation with O’Connor Hospital. His approach to medicine has always been rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of others.
